Hlumu Lodge


Based at the foot of the stunning Hlumuhlumu Mountains, Hlumu Lodge is the ideal destination for a naturally beautiful and relaxing getaway. We offer affordable accommodation paired with a friendly and warm ambiance. Perfectly situated with panoramic views over the Badplaas valley, we offer 12 private, individually designed en-suite log cabins, each with its own private deck overlooking the spectacular mountains.


The lodge itself contains a restaurant, where there is always a selection of delicious meals on offer cooked by our resident chef. On Sunday lunchtimes we host the legendary Sunday Roast buffet - a firm favourite of locals and guests alike.

We have a fully stocked and competitively priced bar with a large screen TV showing all the major sporting fixtures. There is also a pool table and dart board for entertainment. For those chilly winter evenings, we have a large open fireplace with couches to curl up on.

Hlumu Lodge is a child friendly haven. We have a jungle gym and trampoline for their amusement and a children’s petting farm coming soon. We also have a heated swimming pool set in our beautiful, sub-tropical gardens. Perfect for a refreshing dip at the end of the day.
 

We are home to a large variety of wildlife and birdlife including Duiker, Kudu, Reedbuck, Jackal and Vervet Monkeys.



Hlumu Lodge is located a mere 6km outside of the Badplaas Valley, where it sits on the foot of the Hlumuhlumu Mountains in Eastern Mpumalanga. We are a comfortable 3 hour drive from Gauteng and only 1 hour from both Nelspruit and Witbank. Hlumu Lodge is an ideal stop over for travellers en route to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland and Mozambique.
